Through the deal, Markforged has paid Höganäs AB approximately $32 million in cash, 4.1 million shares of common stock and $1.5 million in cash to settle certain intercompany balances. Metal and carbon fiber 3D printer manufacturer Markforged has also completed the acquisition of binder jetting specialist Digital Metal. Under its new ‘UltiMaker’ brand, the combined company plans to invest in accelerating growth and driving product innovation via R&D, and strengthening its presence across the Americas, EMEA, and Asia-Pacific through market expansions.
